Jennifer Garibaldi, MPH, RD, LDN, CPT, CHWC

Hi, I'm Jennifer!

You’re a type A perfectionist that gets sh*t done. You are also the person that people come to for support and you love taking care of others. But you can’t seem to get your eating under control. You’ve struggled with your relationship with food for a while now and get anxious at the thought of having to give up your favorite foods in order to meet your goals. Exercise is another story! It can feel great some days and a chore other days. Plus, you’re so busy…..who has time to fit in a full workout most days per week?!  Let me tell you that you’re not alone! I get it!

I’ve been in the healthcare field for over 10 years and even that doesn’t give you immunity. I  struggled as a fast eater growing up. Eating food so fast, I basically would inhale it! Not feeling satisfied, I would eat more. I would get so full that I didn’t or couldn’t do anything else but sit or lay down.

After the birth of my daughter, my relationship with food got worse to where I became an emotional eater. This new, challenging, and rewarding time of my life took me for a loop. I didn’t know whether I was coming or going! I looked to food to provide me comfort. That affected my desire to workout along with my all-or-nothing/perfectionistic thinking. If it was going to workout, I was going to do it “right” (whatever that meant).

One day, I’ve had enough. I thought about my daughter and wanted to be a better role model. I also wanted to start living my best life, because let’s face it….I felt like I was drowning. It’s like I had to give myself permission to start putting my own self-care first. And that’s just what I did. I finally realized that I was no good to others if I didn’t take care of myself. First, I worked on becoming more of a flexible thinker instead of an all-or-nothing thinker. I started appreciating progress for what it was. No matter how small…..progress IS progress. In 2020, I started embracing my intuitive, psychic, and empathic abilities. I now use these skills to deeply connect with my clients during our sessions and provide divine guidance and support.

It feels great to put yourself and your own needs first! It’s not at all selfish. That’s why I’m dedicated to help spiritually-focused women improve their relationship with food, move away from restrictive dieting, be consistent with lifestyle changes, connect deeply with their bodies and develop self-care strategies that work for them.
